The YMCA Boys Home, established in 1964, having destitutes and boys from families unable to support them, provides the support base to enable them a better future. Over the years, hundreds of young people have left the gates of the Home, with employment and a better self esteem.

Once the children are accepted into the Boys Home, their responsibility becomes solely the YMCA’s responsibility, but allows regular follow up with parent / guardians, so that the child is not totally cut off from his roots or origin. The children are provided stay in dormitories, 4 meals a day – Breakfast, Lunch, Snack and Dinner, regular clothing, toiletries, travel expenses, School & tuition fees, Sports Coaching, Vocational Training, Computer Literacy, Library, Medical assistance and overall development of body, mind and spirit through various activities, interactions and programmes.

As a responsible corporate citizen of Bombay, i-CHESS sponsored a 5 course Christmas-inspired meal for those 65 boys and staff.

i-CHESS also stocked up the library with books for all ages from 7 to 17 years and handed over Christmas chocolates to every child.
